Interwoven (2024)
A multimedia collection inspired by our shift into a more technologically-driven world, and how self-expression through clothes and craft can be used to both escape and embrace these changes. I blended a wide variety of handicraft practices (dyeing, batik, hand-carding fibers, spinning yarn, & weaving) with computer-aided designs. I also explored the intersection of the virtual and the natural through a color palette that features synthetic, digital brights alongside earthy mid-tones. My designs embody the harmonious blend of traditional and modernity: the interconnectedness between artisanal authenticity and technological precision.

Bioluminescence (2022)
Collection of expressive, otherworldly digital prints that take inspiration from the glowing creatures of the deep ocean. Digital prints are comprised of hand-painted motifs and mark-makings from unconventional materials (bubble wrap, cucumbers, ramen noodles), then manipulated digitally. Fabrics were hand-woven on computerized dobby looms.

Monterey (2023)
A digitally-designed, jacquard-woven textile collection inspired by the natural ecosystem of my California hometown and its grumpy-faced inhabitants. See the design process here.

Glitched (2022)
Digitally-designed textile collection created by manipulating black and white paintings in a scanner.

Futuristic Flourish (2022)
A digital textile collection that depicts lush virtual garden, ripe with berries for picking. Created in Adobe Illustrator.
